NEW YORK CITY, January 27, 2004 – The Second Annual Urban Fashion Awards Show will be showcased at the Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas, Nevada on February 25, 2004 from 8-11PM. This spectacular extraordinaire event promises to be bigger and better than ever. Tonya Payton, the Executive Producer states that this year’s show will be more exciting, more expansive, and more entertaining than last year’s show.
Performances by major entertainers of the music world, mini fashion shows and celebrity host and hostess will also partake in this festive occasion which will elevate and broaden the show to unprecedented heights. Special awards will be given for Urban Fashion Lifetime Achievement, Urban Fashion Pioneer, Urban Fashion Humanitarian and this year the Urban Fashion Living Legend Award.
For this show another exciting component has been added. Russell Simons, CEO of Phat Farm and Rush Communications, Karl Kani of Life by Karl Kani, and Bethann Hardison of Bethann Management has demonstrated their enthusiastic support for the Urban Fashion Awards Show and has agreed to lend their considerable influence to this worthy venture.
Urban Fashion is not limited to clothing it is a lifestyle. In order to expose these diverse elements of the urban fashion community, we have included additional categories such as Eyewear, Timepieces, Automobiles, Skateboard, BMX/Motorbike, Fur and Footwear design. This awards show, which was truly needed, is being showcased by the top echelon of the Urban Fashion community.
The Thomas and Mack Event Center is one of Las Vegas premier venues for top concerts, trade shows, awards shows and other gala events. As part of the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, this prestigious, multi-media, exhibition hall showcase is uniquely suited to host the Second Annual Urban Fashion Awards Show.
